Hello From Alaska

Hello everyone! I have arrived in Alaska and am ataying at the Grand View should anyone need to get a hold of me this week. I have my cell phone with should you need to call me. (The number is on the website at the For Teachers section.) I'll also be checking email. I'll be at Iditarod HQ much of the time this week.

Today, two of my committee members, Sara and Shannon, picked me up and we drove out to the Dream a Dream Dog Farm. We got so excited being there because we know that everyone is going to enjoy being at the kennel for our conference! Just so you know, there are puppies at the kennel so get ready to meet a few of them! I told the pups and the sled dogs that you'll be arriving soon. They can't wait to meet you!

The weather was very nice today but rain is in the forecast in days before us. Make sure you are prepared for rain. Umbrellas might be necessary, keep that in mind. Although we'd all like nice sunshine filled days during the conference, rain is desperately needed here.....

Like the Iditarod mushers, we will face the elements nature brings to us and mush on!

See you all soon!
