Hello to all

Just a note to tell you all that it was a pleasure to meet you, and to spend time with you in such a beautiful place. We miss you. We are still in AK, and will leave on July 11 to go back to NJ.
It was great to see Jane's beautiful picture, and to see T's cute daughters. I wish that the conference had been longer. It was the experience of a life time.Thankyou Diane for all of the hard work, and for allowing us to register late.
We are going on a Glacier Cruise from Whittier today, and it is raining cats and dogs.....
I am hoping we will all stay in touch through the blog..I have to lear how to post pictures on the blog.

Keith & Georgia,
Hi from Nebraska! That sounds like great fun, minus all the rain. However, that is a plus in the dry conditions.
I am enduring a weeklong workshop on direct instruction, good stuff, but, too much information directly after two weeks of vacation! Wha! Wha! I will be thinking of you tomorrow as you make your trek home. Happy Travels!

Hi, all (or Hey, y'all - for Tee and Martha),
Crickett and I made it back to KC today - exhausted, but charged up with all the plans for next year! We spent a few days in Girdwood/Anchorage - found a few more good books :). I was able to visit with someone at the hospital about the Susan Butcher Family Center, and will continue to be in contact as we begin our projects to support it. We also visited the Native Hospital - they have some fabulous displays of artwork and craftsmanship from the villages - it was very interesting and we were given a special tour! We did get to see Hobo Jim with Martha before she headed home, and our last hurrah was a bear viewing trip out of Homer. It was incredible. The "company" (husband and wife) we went with are very specialized and were featured in an IMAX film recently produced about bears. We visited the same locations as the film, and even saw some of the same bears. We literally sat on the beach at the base of a creek while the bears walked right by us to feed on the salmon. A trip of a lifetime! But, then, the whole trip - conference and all, was a trip of a lifetime. Thanks, Diane, for organizing such a great event.
